Owner and Founder : Shani Harris

Shani Harris has founded multiple successful businesses in various industries including janitorial services both residential and commercial, promotional sales for night club establishments, promoting for an elite group of DFW Society called Dallas Margarita Society, modeling for an elegant and sophisticated formal dress store called Whatchamacallit, event planning, promoting other local brands on social media, domestic violence advocate, public speaking for at risk young women and promotional events for DFW school districts such as GPISD & AISD.  She is also the sole purpose and reasoning for the Shani Barbie Doll created in 1991. Shani has degrees in Business Management, marketing from Tarrant County College and is CEO of multiple entrepreneurship businesses she created. She survived 8 long years, 2920 days of lots of mental and physical abuse with 3 young children. She managed to escape in 2020 and turn her life around more than anyone! She went from a 9-5 job to starting her own cleaning company to support herself and her children after she left. She witnessed many local authorities who would not help or just ignore her out cry for help. She used tools that she created from previous training skills in her occupational life; to get the courage to fight and stand up for herself.  Her life changing event started when childhood best friend, Amanda, stated the facts, "Shani I would rather see the new you than the end of you!" Sometimes the truth hurts but it really encouraged her to get out. Her motto to life: You have to just go; don't think twice and never look back! That mentality created her own hashtag because she told herself every step of the way #dont_stop_keep_going!

Treasury: Kim V

Kim is also a domestic violence survivor and advocate. Her story is not unlike yours. Also, a mother of 1 and 1 grandchild. She suffered the same mental and physical abuse like all the trapped females in our society. She believes things happen for a reason, and life is made to live, cars are made to drive and try everything once (well, not everything), you never know, you might like it! Her motto: Experiences make up our lives. Times to treasure or store in the closet, until we need to clean out our old shoes (issues!). We all have choices and feelings. Good or bad, they are ours! LIVE! LOVE! LAUGH! Life really is too short. Stay in the moment, we are all so busy, enjoy today, tomorrow may never come. She has helped other victims and has resources for all situations. Not once has she turned her back on any victim with any situation. She would take the initiative, reach out to her connections, and make miracles happen in minutes. Her experience led her to have an open heart to all victims. We never even met in person or talk on the phone at first, but she never left our side!  Our team was more than happy to recruit her as a board member. Thank you, Kim, for your dedication and perseverance to help our victims.

How did this foundation start? Because of this Team member, our Secretary Maribel

Secretary: Maribel E

Maribel is also another domestic violence survivor. She was actually the first victim in 2020, who we aided and saved to set her free. She got hands on experience and one on one consulting from the founder personally. She is young vibrant mother who has changed her entire well-being.  She learned lots of cognitive tools to help her guide her way to ultimate pursuit of happiness. She raises 2 smart young children which one battles or struggles with autism. Her children are the sole purpose of how our foundation started and we have her to thank for our designed structure of this non-profit organization. Not only is she special to us, but she has come a long way from where she started. Once she recognized the traits and characteristics of a narcist, she realized there was more life than what her partner could offer. She can testify from her tribulations that she endured allowed her to suffer many of years of mental abuse and manipulation. Her journey wasn't easy at all. Her fight lasted 2 long years, but she learned to apply all the tools and resources that Shani showed her. Once she got to see the light at the end of the tunnel from her first escape, there was no turning back. She kept writing her to do list every day and conquered each goal one at a time. She now lives independently with her boys and learned to research anything she is unsure of. But most importantly, to never rely on anyone but herself. We applaud her for her upcoming and commend her courage to not give up but used the don't stop keep going mindset that we encourage victims to have. She deserves and earns her role as secretary for us! Her testimony is a beautiful story, and we are glad to have her on our team. WE LOVE YOU MARIBEL!
